Sunnyvale, CA, May 24, 2004 - We are pleased to announce the addition of Peter A. Oppedisano to the senior management staff of BackProject^® Corporation as its Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

Peter brings with him a wealth of knowledge and 20 plus years of experience in the fields of healthcare and fitness. He most recently served in the public healthcare sector as the Director of the Office of Field Operations at the Mississippi State Department of Health. He oversaw the operations of the state's 82 counties, encompassing an $81 million budget and approximately 1800 employees, as well as the Bureau of Home Health. The Bureau of Home Health is a full service Home Health Agency providing operational, skilled nursing and rehabilitative services (physical, occupational and speech therapies). His responsibilities encompassed the day-to-day operations of the nine District offices, 100 county health department medical clinics, and 13 Home Health offices that play a vital role in ensuring the safety, health, and well being of the state's population through the provision of clinical services.

Prior to his three years in public health, he served in various senior Operational and Marketing/Sales Management positions within several private sector industries. Oppedisano's management experience includes six years in the institutional and consumer fitness/wellness industry. He was the President of Nautilus Consumer Fitness, Vice President and General Manager of Universal Fitness and Diamondback Fitness, and President of NordicEdge a division of NordicTrack.

Most importantly, his twelve years of senior management in the medical equipment industry in orthopedics, human performance, and physical rehabilitation with Cybex Medical will help move BackProject^® Corporation to the next level. During his tenure with Cybex, Mr. Oppedisano held the positions of Senior Business Unit Manager, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, and Director of Product Management and Customer Service.

Peter's educational background includes an MBA in Business Management and a BSGS in General Sciences in Engineering Science & Business.
